AwardX Europe 2026 Launches to Connect Student Entrepreneurs with Global Opportunities

LaunchX and Friends of Bata have officially launched AwardX Europe 2026, a free entrepreneurship competition for high school and university students living across Europe. Continuing from the success of AwardX East Africa, AwardX Social Impact, and AwardX International, the competition provides a platform for young founders to turn their ideas into real-world ventures in the region.

AwardX Europe is open to both existing startups and well-researched business ideas. The program offers students the chance to compete for cash prizes, scholarships, and professional mentorship.

Judges

This year’s finalists will pitch to the core team at Triple B—an international family group with a mission to empower innovators and entrepreneurs for positive impact. As global experts, they are passionate about nurturing social impact, hosting and promoting initiatives in education, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Thomas Archer Bata: Executive Director at Triple B and Founder of MGG, with managerial experience at Nike and Aldo.
Jordy Johannes: CIO/CFO at Triple Bata and a seasoned finance professional formerly with KPMG and PwC.
Jean-Michel Deligny: Head of the Triple B Investment Committee and a 30-year veteran of the technology investment sector.

Prizes and Scholarships

The competition is divided into High School and Post-High School tracks.

For High School Students: The top winner receives $1,000 in cash and a $3,000 scholarship towards the LaunchX Online Flagship Program. Each of the 10 finalists in this track will receive a $1,000 scholarship, an official certificate, and a LinkedIn badge to mark their achievement.

For Post-High School Students: The top winner receives $1,000 in cash and a $2,000 scholarship towards the LaunchX Online Startup Experience. Finalists in this track earn a $500 scholarship, an official certificate, and a LinkedIn badge.

Applications close on June 30, 2026, followed by a live pitch session for the top 10 finalists on July 29, with winners officially announced on August 8, 2026.
