Business entities are formed by registration with the West Virginia Secretary of State.  

Limited Liability Company

Filing a Domestic LLC (for profit company, first registered in West Virginia) is a $100 initial filing fee, $25 annual fee, and may be submitted online. Expedited service is not available.  Certified copies of the filing are $15. Annual report is due before April 1 of each year and may be filed online.

Corporation

Filing a Domestic Corporation (for profit company, first registered in West Virginia) is a $50 initial filing fee, $25 annual fee, and may be submitted online. Expedited service is not available.  Certified copies of the filing are $15. Additional fees for excess acreage may apply. Annual report is due before July 1 of each year and may be filed online.

DBA (Doing Business As) or Fictitious Business Name
